Zytex’s Bio-Agri division, PlantbiotiX, participated in the International Conference on Pomegranate-2026, held in Pune from 6–8 September 2026, organized by ICAR–National Research Centre on Pomegranate (NRCP), Solapur, in association with SARP and MPKV, Rahuri.

As part of the conference, Dr. Prasad Pawar, R&D Manager, Zytex, shared scientific insights on “Advanced Microbial Bio-Input Technologies for Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Pomegranate Production,” highlighting K-Bac Plus™, a microbial bioinoculant solution, and its application in nutrient management for pomegranate cultivation.

The conference brought together scientists, researchers, industry professionals and growers to exchange perspectives on sustainable and climate-resilient pomegranate production.

Through continued scientific engagement and field-oriented innovation, Zytex remains committed to advancing microbial solutions for more sustainable agriculture.

Zytex recently attended Vitafoods Asia 2026, gaining valuable insights into emerging trends, new formats, and evolving approaches in functional nutrition.

The initiative supports regular health monitoring and reflects the company’s focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for its people.

Zytex was pleased to host scientists from the ICAR-National Research Centre on Pomegranate, Solapur, during their visit to our facility.

The visiting team included Dr. Manjunath (Senior Scientist, Plant Pathology), Dr. Mallikaarjun (Senior Scientist, Entomology), and Dr. Gawda (Scientist, Entomology).

During the visit, the team gained insights into Zytex’s research and microbial technologies. Our R&D Manager, Mr. Ninad, presented an overview of the manufacturing process and the stringent quality systems followed to ensure high-CFU microbial production. Our Marketing Manager, Mr. Sachin, discussed how these technologies are translated into practical agricultural solutions.

Interactions like these strengthen collaboration between research institutions and industry, supporting the advancement of microbial technologies for sustainable agriculture.

Zytex Biotech was pleased to host Dr. Ajit S. Ranade at its R&D facility for an engaging scientific interaction.

During the visit, Dr. Ranade explored Zytex’s in-house Bacillus strain screening capabilities and was particularly impressed by the systematic evaluation of strains across multiple functional parameters to ensure application-specific performance. The team also shared insights into the strain selection and scale-up process, along with the strain management systems supporting diverse biotechnology applications.

Dr. Ranade also visited the PlantbiotiX R&D facility, where discussions highlighted how microbial science and plant research are advancing solutions for improved nutrient uptake, plant health, and sustainable agriculture.

The interaction reflected Zytex’s continued commitment to science-driven innovation and collaborative knowledge exchange.

Zytex Biotech has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research – National Research Centre on Pomegranate (ICAR–NRC Pomegranate), Solapur, to strengthen industry–research collaboration for sustainable pomegranate cultivation.

The partnership will combine scientific research with industry expertise to develop advanced biological solutions focused on plant health, soil microbiome enhancement, and improved productivity in pomegranate farming.

Zytex Biotech Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, and Shrimant Shivajiraje Horticulture & Agriculture College, Phaltan, jointly organized a one-day training session on "Biological Nutrition & Protection for Quality Pomegranate Production" on February 22, 2025, at the Shrimant Malojiraje Educational Complex.

The event catered specifically to pomegranate growers in Phaltan and final-year agricultural students. It featured expert insights from Dr. Vinay Supe, a horticulture expert, Mr. Prakash Kulkarni from Udyanshri, Mr. Arvind Nikam, Mr. Shahaji Shinde, Dr. S.D. Nimbalkar, and Dr. U.D. Chavan. Topics covered included biological nutrition, biological pest and disease management, and essential crop practices for the Ambia Bahar season, such as pruning, irrigation, and soil health relevant to pomegranate cultivation.

This training proved highly beneficial for pomegranate farmers in Phaltan and neighboring villages. Farmers had the opportunity to discuss their queries and challenges, expressing gratitude for the technical and practical knowledge shared by the experts.

Our teams put their culinary skills to the test in Zytex’s first-ever cooking contest, crafting delicious, vegetarian creations with Meiji Plain Crackers as the hero ingredient. From bold flavours to artistic presentations, the competition was packed with creativity and passion!

2. Innovative use of Meiji Plain Crackers as the star ingredient
3. Thoughtfully crafted recipes with no open flames/fire use
With 9 teams competing and Ms. Nishi Doshi as our esteemed judge (and the first to experiment with Meiji Crackers!), the energy in the room was electric!
And that’s not all! We also came together for our Monthly Birthday Celebrations, cutting a delicious cake to mark the occasion.
